Sandstone Quarry for Sale
A sandstone quarry with links to some of Queensland’s iconic buildings at Helidon, west of Brisbane, is being offered for sale by Ray White Commercial Toowoomba and Ray White Commercial (Qld).
The quarry at 512 Goldmine Road, Helidon, is being marketed via Expressions of Interest by Ray White Commercial Toowoomba’s Brian Hodges and John Dwyer of Ray White Commercial (Qld).
Brian Hodges said the quarry is in a renowned sandstone extraction region close to Toowoomba in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range.
“Sandstone extracted from Helidon quarries were the building blocks to some of Queensland’s most renowned buildings including parts of State Parliament and the Great Court of the University of Queensland,” he said.
“This quarry is being offered for sale on an ‘as is where is basis’ which includes plant and machinery.”
John Dwyer said the quarry has current local authority approvals in place and a Queensland mining lease which runs until October 31, 2032.
“The quarry covers a site area of approximately 12.33ha and has easy access to the Warrego Highway,” he said.
