A PRIVATE investor has acquired Netball Queensland’s HQ, pending their relocation to a purpose-built facility in Nathan, for $2.202M at
210-212 Beaudesert Road in Moorooka.
Coming with a 687sq m* net lettable area, the property was offered as vacant possession, and was sold after a successful expressions of interest campaign.
The asset was marketed and sold by Ray White Commercial Queensland’s director – sales John Dwyer and director – office leasing and sales Jason Hines.
Mr Dwyer said there was strong interest throughout the campaign, with a number of enquiries coming from both investors and owner-occupiers alike.
“Potential buyers really appreciated the opportunity that was on offer here, and that was highlighted by the fact we had more than 20 enquiries,” he said.
“The property was originally purpose-built to house the Commonwealth Employment Service and was acquired by Netball Queensland as their HQ, where they stayed for some years.
“The investor plans on undertaking a major refurbishment before placing the property back on the market for lease.”
